As the founder of BSP, Barry made “doing quality work, keeping commitments, and taking care of business” top priorities for our company. Those core principles have guided our corporate culture for more than twenty-five years; and today, our commitment to uncompromising standards of excellence is stronger than ever. This is evidenced in our lasting relationships with major industry manufacturers and independents, and our reputation as the go-to partner for guaranteed success. Aside from our customer service, Barry makes sure our focus is “on the future of our employees and their families, our clients, and the corrugated box industry.”
Shawn Pearson
Vice President
Shawn has played a key role in the success of BSP and our clients for ten years. An Ohio native with twenty-five years of corrugating industry and steam systems experience, he is an expert who truly understands what makes systems work, and what will make systems work better. Building on an academic background in mathematics and engineering, he combines extensive knowledge, with analytical and mechanical skills to solve real-world problems and help our partners achieve their goals. Shawn is a team-focused leader, and when he’s not strengthening business relationships, he is building effective teams and encouraging our employees. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, fishing and spending time with his family.
Alex Newsom
Engineering Manager
Alex is a Georgia native, who relocated to the Madison area after joining BSP in 2013 to help advance our steam system design capabilities and lead the development of our Express Link control system. Since joining the team, Alex’s expertise in engineering, and expanding knowledge of many other areas in steam systems and corrugated manufacturing, are contributing to our client support as well. Alex consults on start-ups, installation strategies, retrofits and other areas that ensure our solutions are performing as expected and in the fastest time possible. Alex enjoys being part of a fast growing company, and having a role that is never boring, because it’s always evolving. When he’s not working on new BSP projects, Alex enjoys camping, shooting, and car restoration.
